I\u2019m hoping to say a lot more about this over the next few days, but I\u2019m struggling a bit to find the time. But it is worth calling attention to the work of the <a href=\"https:\/\/careerdpg.co.uk\/\">Career Development Policy Group<\/a>. This group is a coalition of careers sector organisations and stakeholders who campaign to influence policy. <\/p>\n<p>The main proposal that the group has made is called the <a href=\"https:\/\/img1.wsimg.com\/blobby\/go\/2e9e2b71-fb98-45b9-bf68-875b169d5ac5\/downloads\/CGG-Infographic-A4-2024-v3-digital.pdf?ver=1714387530035\">Career Guidance Guarantee<\/a>. This argues that the next government needs to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publish a careers strategy<\/li>\n<li>Finish the Gatsby revolution<\/li>\n<li>Challenge youth unemployment<\/li>\n<li>Ensure positive career outcomes from higher level education<\/li>\n<li>Support lifelong career development<\/li>\n<li>Ensure quality and professionalism<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is essentially the careers sector\u2019s manifesto for the election so, I would encourage everyone to get behind it. <\/p>\n<p>I have made a short explainer video to introduce the Career Guidance Guarantee.
